Are all your contractors and handymen insured?

Absolutely! Although professionals, mistakes and accidents do happen. As a result, all of our contractor and handymen are required to be insured. Additionally, depending on the service they provide, many have to be licensed.

Why should someone use Home Repair Network?

Home Repair Network provides another option for homeowners. Many times homeowners do not know who to call when they have home repair and improvement needs. The purpose of our business is to connect homeowners with local prescreened contractors and handymen.

What kind of prescreening do you perform on your contractors and handymen?

Great question!! Referrals play a big part. We do referral checks on those in our network. Speaking to former and current customers lay a firm foundation about the integrity of our contractors. We also may visit work sites to confirm workmanship. In addition, we confirm that all of our service professional are licensed and insured. Many of our contractors are members of the Better Business Bureau as well and have outstanding records.

Am I obligated to use the contractors and handymen listed in your network if you refer them to me?

No. Our goal is to help homeowners. Depending on the work requested, it’s always a good idea to get multiple proposals or estimates in order to make a quality decision.

Is there a fee for getting an estimate on home improvement work?

No. Our listed contractors and handymen do not charge anything for estimates. After hours service calls may be handled differently.

If I have any questions about work performed by one of your listed contractors, who do I call?

You can contact the contractor directly or Home Repair Network. The best option would be the contractor. Consistent communication will always be maintained between contractor, client and Home Repair Network.

Do you give quotes over the phone?

All quotes are given by contractors and handymen in our network. Depending on the work, estimates may be given over the phone.

Once the job is completed, who do I pay?

Payments are made directly to the contractors

I want to make an addition to my home that requires a permit. Who would obtain the permit?

The homeowner or contractor can obtain the work permit.

Do I have to pay Home Repair Network for their services?

No. Our referral services are free.

Are the contractors listed in your network employees of Home Repair Network?

No. All contractors own their own business.

Can I get multiple estimates, for the same job, from different contractors in your network?

Absolutely. It’s a good idea to get multiple estimates from contractors, whether they are listed in our network or otherwise.
